Jessup Maryland Facility
In 2017, War Shore secured its new operating facility from the Maryland Food Center Authority’s Maryland Market Center. Our HACCP-compliant, refrigerated building is strategically located between Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD about a mile off I-95 and a 12-minute drive to BWI airport.
Our shipping terminal is serviced by several refrigerated trucking lines. Our location enables fast receiving and shipping turnaround for our shellfish to reach our customers as quickly as possible.
Portland Maine Facility
In 2020, War Shore opened its second facility in the heart of Portland Maine’s historical “Old Port” waterfront district. It is from this location that War Shore operates and focuses on the “Maine Oyster Initiative”.
The M.O.I. focuses on sourcing a variety of fresh Maine oysters and other shellfish directly from local growers/harvesters, and then packs and ships (same day) to other Trading Companies and Wholesalers across the country.
Having this facility in place is paramount in backing up War Shore Trading Company’s overall mission statement which is to “source and distribute the most exceptional and freshest shellfish products in the industry so that our customers can more effectively differentiate themselves from the competition”.
